Highly recommended, but requires a bit of patience when assembling.

My son is very handy with everything. He loved collecting it and we played with him for hours on the first day. Then we had a great idea to double the rubber bands to make the launcher more challenging and now instead of knocking down little minions on the map panel as part of the game we tear down little castles from wooden blocks that we build ourselves. This is definitely one of the best toys for boys you can find. My son is 5 almost 6 and he wants more branded boys clothes. So he gets a few

Gather glue, wait a day, throw in bin

Bought several sets for a kids birthday workshop. Turns out the entire catapult is assembled with glue! Not a single nail or screw. What skills does this toy teach children? How to use glue to glue wooden blocks? Create something different with this technique. Aside from knowing the value, once built you have to wait 24 hours for the glue to dry before you can play. And after that, the toy falls apart within minutes because the glue isn't holding it tight enough (surprise, surprise!). Bottom…

scatapult? in arts and crafts

So we first gave this to our 4 year old granddaughter who "wanted to pack" for Christmas. She calls it a catapult! We thought it was such a cute name so I looked it up online to make sure it was legit. There is no way I want your 4 year old granddaughter to say that word! CAT REMOTE! LOVE, THE CAT IS CALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL! Now that I've gotten rid of it, it's incredibly fun for all ages! From 4-year-old little girls giggling like crazy while playing with him, to a grandpa who wants to…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

What is a boy's craft?

I don't like how "Boy Craft" is written all over the packaging. I had a hard time explaining to my kids why it wasn't really a boy's craft. What is a boy's craft? It also takes a few hours to assemble as you'll have to wait for the glue to dry, so maybe read all the instructions before you start. Also, the stickers don't stick, so be prepared for that. And cardboard cannibals are flimsy and don't really work. Once you set it up, you just know that the whole experience is extremely overwhelming.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Funny toy, good learning experience.

The first thing to note is that it doesn't come with very good glue and you have a few options. You can use hot glue to build it and use it right away. Or you can use wood glue. And Elmer's white school glue is very similar to wood glue and works too. I chose wood glue. The skills they gain from gluing these things together aren't impressive. What impresses me is that they get excited about a toy that they glue together and then have to wait 24 hours before they can use it. This is a lesson in…

So much fun! best in arts and crafts

Possibly the most fun toy I have ever bought. I am very grateful to the previous reviewers for suggesting using hot glue and alternative rubber bands which definitely improves on the original design. We also quickly discovered that decorating the catapults with markers and model paint was before gluing, not after! Dollar Store (50 figures for $1). Of course, plastic dinosaurs or whatever can replace humans if you prefer. In addition, only four small rattles are included with each catapult. When
