I recently switched to adult coloring books and needed a good sharpener. I used a manual pencil which started out reasonably well but was killing my Prismacolor pencils, especially when it came time to use a new one. I've looked at a lot of sharpeners and reviews here. For the price, this one fits. And the pink color was very cute. I decided to try it out on my Prismacolor Verithin because I had a brand new set that hadn't been sharpened yet. The sharpener worked great. The dots were nice and sharp in about 3-4 seconds. An auto stop function would be nice, but I don't need it. Then I tried one of my regular Prismacolors, which broke when sharpened. Here the lead is exposed halfway to the pen body. I was really hoping to salvage this pen because anyone who buys these pens knows how expensive they are. It aggravated this big one too much. I'm still optimistic but so far he's holding the point and not breaking. When I first used this I think I let it run for over 5 minutes as I had a lot of pencils to sharpen. I have over 150. Works great. The engine showed no signs of stress. I really hope that after a few months of use it will work just as well. So far I've only used it once. Update: It's been a few months and it's still working great.
