I was introduced to this line of products by a hydrobiologist from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Energy. He transports living samples from Owens Valley to a laboratory in Sylmar for analysis. He needs good temperature control. It's way better than ice boxing. So I bought one for takeout orders at restaurants near a sci-fi conference where I ran the canteen. . This device kept the food trays hot until dinner was served. After dinner, the leftovers were placed back in the van with a half tray loaded with ice to cool it all down. He cooled to a safe temperature and stayed there. until it was brought out for dinner the next day. Everyone on the friendly staff was amazed at how well it worked. Planning to buy another room from next year's budget - money well spent.
