It WORKS but does not stay locked. My dogs were actually afraid to use it because it fell on them. I don't know if it matters, but I used pet-resistant screening. During installation I couldn't put the pieces together without first piercing the screen. Since it worked when it stayed connected, I decided to change it rather than reset it (plus I already had a hole in my screen). I bought some 4" black zip ties and drilled 2 holes about 1/8" apart with a small drill through the outer plastic frame. I then connected both parts of the frame with zip ties to keep the frame from falling apart. I did this near all 4 corners and about 4 inches from the loop. while everything works. Some people said they had screws, but I didn't have any screws.
