I needed a short extension cable to connect multiple panels on my van. When this product became available I decided to order it. Here's what I found: 1. The MC4 connector is good quality and fits my solar panel connector. This allows me to use a higher quality cable (heavier gauge wire) and still connect to the existing jacks on my panels.2. It's better to have separate wires rather than a single cable as it allows you to use a shorter cable and still deal with offsets along the length of each cable. For example, the black wire can be shorter on one side and longer on the other side, while the red wire can be reversed. This allows you to fit a single wire which then requires a shorter cable. Since the voltage drop in a solar system is critical, the shorter the better!3. The cables are very flexible, which is very practical when laying them. The plugs and cord appear to be of very good quality and they fit my existing plugs with no problems. I am happy with this extension and would recommend it if you need a cord of this length.
