I took a chance based on 50/50 ratings and the remote didn't work right out of the box but I contacted support and followed the instructions below and it's working now Great. You should include these instructions with the remote, I think it might help the reviews, but here they are if you're having trouble. Dear customer, Thank you for your trust. The remote control is pre-programmed and works immediately after inserting the batteries. in. This is an infrared remote control. Please use it before your Roku. If it doesn't work, please reset it as follows: 1. Remove the batteries from the remote control2. Press each button on the remote control at least one (1) time within 3 seconds to discharge the remaining energy. It also helps check for stuck keys.3. Insert BRAND NEW batteries into the remote control and make sure the batteries are inserted correctly, positive and negative ends in the right direction.4. Sometimes the problem is not with the remote control. Sometimes the problem lies with the TV/Roku. Simply unplug your TV/Roku and press and hold the power button on the side of your TV/Roku for 15 seconds. This drains the residual power and can fix weird issues. Then plug your TV/Roku back in and turn it on. Check if the remote control works now.
