OD is way smaller than a 1/4" lock washer should be. So let's say you drill a hole for a 1/4" bolt. You'll get more than 1/4", say 5/16 or so. These washers have such a small OD that it's almost impossible to slide them into the hole. While you'll want the washer OD to be significantly larger than that 5/16 hole. Okay, I'm not expecting a flat washer diameter, but I'm expecting an outside diameter of about 7/16, a 1/4" hex bolt. I would strongly recommend not using it. (Unless , you want really tiny 1/4" lock washers for some weird reason.)
