This thing may work (code P0449 hasn't been reset yet) but it's MUCH louder than the genuine ACDelco part. When I noticed this I googled it and many say they have had trouble with the loud ticking of those aftermarket purge solenoids. As far as I know they are controlled by PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). Therefore, they open and close repeatedly during normal operation. Based on the forums I've read, ACDelcos are quiet, but they've had mixed success when it comes to quietness. Be warned. Maybe mine was broken? Anyway, this was the truck I was looking to sell so it should work fine and not make any weird noises. However, in my situation it was money wasted.
