The key itself is of excellent quality and fits my 2000 Ford Ranger. That's a lot better than paying a ridiculous amount to the dealer for a new key. HERE'S THE IMPORTANT PART: You must already have 2 feature keys to program the key yourself without going to the dealer. If you currently only have 1 key (which was the case in my case), you will need to go to a locksmith or dealership to connect to their computer and program the chip for your car, which is usually an hourly fee or a hefty one fee is. Buying this key saves you even more money. It is worth buying this key. Also, do not try to start the car with this key until you have programmed it. I just tried and tried and the safety feature in my truck tripped and prevented me from starting for a few minutes.
