I don't think all DVI connectors are created equal. I have a Samsung monitor with both VGA and DVI ports, so I bought it to connect two laptops that only have VGA output ports, but unfortunately I will never know if this adapter will work or not because it doesn't fit . Apparently there are DVI-I and DVI-D connectors and they are not compatible and do not fit. So check the DVI cable pins and compare them to my posted image to make sure they are the same before you buy this. Hope that helps.
