Review on Dive into Silence: Dogtek Sonic Bird House Bark Control Outdoor/Indoor - Enhanced Version by Amicz Kakaruk

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works, use it as a tutorial.

Preserved bird house. First impression - looks. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but it's actually not bad. It is just over 7 inches high and 5.5 inches wide. The case is made of durable plastic, and it seems that it can be dropped from waist or chest height and will not suffer too much. It comes with a wire cord/wire to hang it up if you like. The wife likes the coloring and design. Instructions There is a function, but since the sound is not heard by humans, the test is more like a battery test with sound. Reading the guide I assume you are also testing 3 mics. The instructions are simple, short and pleasant. It is said not to use it 100% of the time, this seems to have two reasons: 6 AA batteries drain quickly and overuse will train dogs to make high-pitched sounds. You also have 3 different usage settings for different distance ranges. It works out? I believe it works. Dogs have to bark to activate it. Ours usually bark at the front door or when they hear the neighbor's dogs barking. The device can be easily transported from indoors to outdoors. It's also small enough to put on a side table so I can turn it on and off. As a general rule, we get the feeling that the dogs don't keep barking for what seems like ages like they did in front of the aviary. They bark a few times, then stop. Of course, if they are very motivating to bark, I will believe them from time to time. Again, this is a reason not to overuse this tool like any other dog training tool. I am satisfied with the product. I wish there was one with a set of rechargeable batteries and a small solar panel so I can use it outdoors and not have to worry about turning it on and off to save battery. The woman also mentioned that she would like to have one that can be plugged in for indoor use. So yes, we're happy and considering how it could be improved, even if it means a slightly higher price. Hell, if you need to toggle it on and off, why not the clicker type where you just point at it when you want to fix the dog. I assume this can be abused. Disclosure: I bought the device and was looking at it when I found the stock. I would buy a device without a promotion, but hey, who doesn't love a good promotion to share their thoughts on a neat device. If I don't think it works, I would say so. Be sure to use it as a dog training tool and be aware that some dogs will bark independently and others will bark more in some situations than others. The barking time seems to be getting shorter and shorter. It works out. I want an internal version with a plugin.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
