Review on ๐Ÿถ Zack & Zoey Large Orange Pet Day Tripper with Storage Pouches - Convenient and Spacious! by Tyra Simpson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good, deep backpack!

Out of the box, the backpack looks very sturdy, with good stitching and durable materials. The straps are easily adjustable so you can find the perfect fit for your dog. The bags are HUGE - I've successfully managed a whole large container of dry food, several packs of wet food, a large bag of treats, a rope toy, an empty tug/squeak toy and 3 water bottles - with some room. Forgiveness! Each bag also has straps to balance the load and make it easier for your dog to carry. Also, the reflective strips are very bright and there's even an extra hidden little pocket for (I think) money or credit cards! The first test run of this pack was on a trail at Laurel Branch Campground in Kentucky. . This trail is steep, rocky and long in places, and runs along the river bank. Not once has the packaging slipped or caused problems. even if it's still a bit big for my 6 month old doberman pup who is still growing. However, it should be noted that I do not believe that the D-ring should ever be used to control a dog. Anything can happen and a backpack was made to carry items, not a dog leash, let alone a dog the size they make these things for. The D-ring is plastic and feels fragile - I wouldn't trust anything that restrains a large dog's power. I used the Kurgo harness under the backpack as a harness and it worked perfectly even though the backpack was not attached to the harness. It's also a little annoying - I had to lift the straps up a bit for them and there are LOTS of extra chords and nowhere to tie/hook them so they don't get in the way. These are the only reasons the package gets 4 stars and not 5 stars. Very happy with my purchase.
