The speaker is ok but very disappointing as an easy to program AM/FM alarm clock. Don't press wrong button, otherwise you may need to reset all settings. The user manual incorrectly lists the alarm on/off button as a radio on/off button. Once the clock radio turns on, it turns off for 10 minutes and I have no idea why. Carry on with those digital radios and Radio Shack will be back. Addendum: Not only is this model cumbersome to program, the "instruction manual" tells you to contact the customer service center but doesn't give you an address, phone number or email address!
