Review on 🚿 GM Genuine Parts Windshield Washer Check Valve - 1.8 inches by Alex Cassanova

Purchased to replace a clogged check valve on a GMC Yukon. Got the first. Does not allow liquid to flow in any direction under pressure. Both directions hold a good vacuum. Completely useless as a check valve. Got a replacement. Exactly the same problem. This item corresponds to a single piece of plastic when delivered. There is clearly no quality control. Several other reviews with the same problem. NOTICE UPDATE POST EDIT: April 16th: I am leaving the first review so that others who have the same wrong impression can properly understand the functionality of this device. It is a spring-loaded valve that opens in both directions under pressure. Thus, an arrow indicating the direction is not required. It only works as a check valve as reverse pressurization is not possible as only the engine can provide the pressure. It takes a lot of force to open it. This of course puts pressure on the whole system which I have seen can open up and cause leaks, either through ruptures in plastic hoses or by disconnecting hose connections, which are simple push-in fittings. After checking the valve next to the engine and that it actually works, I'm increasing my rating to 3 stars. 3 stars because it's not the best design and a real check valve would have been better, but the part works as intended.
