Worked with manual drain for a week. Was emptied 2 times a day and a 3rd time almost half filled confirming the moisture issue in the 10x12 walk in closet that the builder noticed. So I connected a plastic hose to the pump. It went off when turned on. Turned off the pump and restarted the machine. Read the manual again, check the bucket and repeat again, same thing. Called the company and they said to wait until the water level through the see through window was almost 2/3 or higher. I waited to 75%, then it worked. That wasn't in the manual. One star reduced. If you ever turn off the pump after it's empty, you won't be able to turn it back on until the level reaches 75%. I turn it off at night so the room doesn't get warmer, and in the morning it turns on again with the same settings. It works really well. This comes from the top, so I direct the warm air toward the door using a large, angle-glued bin lid to deflect the air.
