Non-press inserts

I recently bought a used Zx2 and wanted to make a few improvements, one of which was Power transmission to the road has been improved, i.e. the engine mount inserts. They do their job, now I get a noticeable vibration at idle but I don't have specific background information to know if these inserts helped as the original mounts were rotten and replaced at the same time. A note to help with installation is that this item is called the engine mount, but on the ZX2 it is called the transmission mount. Also, my mistake was that I figured I had to take the stock mounts, push out the old rubber, and install these inserts. They are simply inserted by hand to fill the cavities in the original rubber mounts.

Pros
  • Replacement Hyper-Flex polyurethane components resist the contaminants that often attack rubber and are designed to last longer without permanent compression
Cons
  • Vulgarity
