These candles will add a touch of flair to any cake compared to the small dainty candles you've been used to since baby's birthday.

Not bad. The candles are a decent size but they don't shine like the picture. These are almost white candles with golden dots.

These are beautiful candles but glitter flakes flake easily. I wanted to use them in a meringue cake but that wasn't possible. I'll use them for something else later.

These candles are quite expensive so you must really like the person you are making/decorating the cake for. Also, some other reviewers didn't like them because the glitter got on their cakes, but my candles came with bases that you could insert the candles into, making it easy to avoid this problem if you apply them carefully. Anyway, eating some plastic can't be much worse than stuffing your face with excess sugar and food coloring, right?! Overall, they're fun and cute, but still expensive…

The main problem I had with these candles was the plastic holders. The part that sticks into the cake wasn't long enough to hold the candle properly, it fell IMMEDIATELY (and left the glitter that all the other reviewers mention) on the cake. We ended up just handing her candles to blow out, I didn't think to check them or stock up on candles. And I tried sticking them in the cake without a holder. I had to tuck it in halfway (to keep them upright) but that then negated the effect of the tall…
