My son has been wearing Stride Rite Made 2 Play water shoes for 2 summers with no problem (and only wore Stride Rite branded shoes for 4 years) so I found the current version in early summer (these ones) and bought the right size. I was shocked when my son, who had been wearing it for two days, complained to his teacher and me that his toes hurt from the shoes, and when I pulled his foot out, both feet had little toes with red marks and flaking Skin. He has plenty of room from toe to toe and is a large shoe size (which he has worn for years). So now I'm sitting on shoes that have hardly been used and can't return them because he wore them. Too bad I didn't read the reviews - I'll probably switch brands after this experience and waste of money. I would also like to point out that in the last 6 months I have broken 2 pairs of Stride-Rite shoes after 2-3 months of use (top straps, ripped velcro). The quality has gone down, but the price hasn't changed. Buyer beware.
