I wanted to try it based on the reviews and description but had to return it after just one try because: 1) the smell (of essential oils?) is so strong I could taste it in my mouth. immediately after washing your hair. It doesn't wash off and I don't want to breathe it in or smell it all day. It just wasn't my taste. 2) As soon as I applied it to my hair and started massaging it to distribute the lather my scalp started to hurt so I'm guessing I'm allergic to something in it and I can't use it. 3) The list of ingredients given on the EWG differs from that listed on the label. Phenoxyethanol is the fourth ingredient on the bottle. It doesn't say if it's green tea or synthetic, but since it's the fourth ingredient, it's probably at a concentration above 1%, which Japan considers the safest level for this preservative. I cannot say how this affected my condition. Hair afterwards because I washed it off with a bar of soap right after it started hurting the scalp.
