This dress has a lot going for it: the colors are true to the photos, the fabric is decent for the price, the stitching seems fine. It's fully lined, so definitely not see through. There are no pockets; I'm not sure why some reviewers seemed to have them. Maybe I got a knockoff.It's not the last flattering thing I've put on my body, but the lining makes the whole dress puffy and the elastic at the waist in the lining and in the outer layer of the dress don't line up, so it is constantly shifting around trying to settle and feels very costume-y - like a kid's costume, not like a Broadway ensemble. The weirdest part is this dress though is 100% the neckline. I knew it was not going to be a big, loose neck, but taking it out of the package I actually wondered if it would fit over my head, it's so small. Until I realized, it's elastic. With a ruffle. That's right, the neckline is an elastic ruffle, which I had to stretch all the way out to get over my smaller-than-average sized head, and which then very snugly gripped my neck, with the tickling ruffle creeping up away from my collarbones and towards my jawline every time I turned my head.I am going to take this to a friend who sews and see if she wants to do anything with it. The fabric is okay but the construction is just odd. I can't imagine wearing it.
