I chose this CHUYI adapter to replace my TP Link1200 (bought here at Revain) which recently became damaged. This is usually an easy and straight forward install, although I ran into issues due to my specific network configuration. The instructions could also be improved, as they are in most cases these days. SETUP: I had trouble initially connecting it to my 2.4, 5.0 and/or guest networks even though I had whitelisted its MAC address with my router. I use mac address filtering which can be a problem if you don't know the mac address I thought that I know of, but this device shows a different Mac address in Windows 10 properties than what is shown on the network. Without understanding this, I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out why it can't connect. Finally, in the troubleshooting process, I disabled Mac filtering and connected them immediately. After connecting I got the actual mac address and whitelisted it, then re-enabled filtering and everything has been working fine ever since. Performance: In terms of performance, this CHUYI adapter is slower than my previous TP-Link1200. I have a Comcast Blast and get about 400 wired calls. CHUYI currently has an average of about 150 and I used to have an average of 275. This is the case, if the adapter is about 3 feet from the router, so it's not great. However, its range is very good. I can take my laptop out onto the balcony (about 100 feet from the router through a couple of walls) and still have about 75-100 free, and that's the infamous death zone in my house. If you're more concerned with range connectivity than speed, this CHUYI might be the way to go. Conclusion: After initial problems setting up the Mac address, I had no connection problems. I'd say it's a good buy, not a great one, but you should ignore all the 'super speed', 'maximum throughput' and the like in the seller description. I'll probably buy another TP-Link1200 here at Revain, but so far so good. However, you should ignore all "super speed", "maximum throughput" and the like in the sellers' descriptions.
