Item not working. In particular, it didn't let through HDCP-protected content. An inexpensive HDMI cable passes HDCP-protected content through. I'm not sure who is responsible for the HDCP bullshit, but the problem is with the cable and/or the manufacturer didn't include helpful instructions. So either the cable is defective or the manufacturer has not included the appropriate instructions. Anyway, I'm sending the cable back. In addition to the amount of money paid, they must include instructions explaining the additional steps required. If no additional steps are required, the cable should work and not work under normal use.
