Review on ๐Ÿš— Monroe 5616 OESpectrum Rear Shock Absorber: Superior Performance for Smooth Ride by Eli Saumell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Excellent precision shock absorber replacement temporarily or permanently. Both saks collapsed. It wasn't a sport.

The price was incredibly cheap, so I didn't buy it. Oespectrums are my original replacement shock absorbers. All three of my machines have them. This replaced the Sachs, which exploded in a pothole. I would give it five stars if it came with a kit that should install this shock correctly. Also, I needed 2 and bought a new local for about $20 more, so a total of $38 for both shocks. Crazy price for a BMW 325i e90. The problem was that my fenders were destroyed so add 2 sets. The pothole had somehow damaged the top bracket through the mounting hole so I couldn't figure out how it happened knowing simple physics. So add 2 sets of top fasteners. Unfortunately the local shop didn't come with new screws and they didn't get these due to a mistake when I first ordered them so I replaced the other side which broke completely in 2 pieces. For me the first of over 100 cars. The rear of my Silverado was so bad with the Oespectrum coilovers that the shocks really helped crush the rear of the truck completely. The dampers stayed together and so far only the curved mounts worked. Well local firing pin installed, torqued properly, ripped out and fell off in less than 2 miles had to be replaced. Lifetime guarantee but next time I'll replace it with a Saks for the same price if not sooner rather than later. I just needed an accurate cheap fix ASAP as I already had thousands of dollars and 2 mos working on my 6th upgrade in total so the Bimmer was dd. So far so good, the driving performance is 100 times better. The shock is much, much heavier than the OEM. Unsports Pack.
