This tube has a 70 degree brass valve that makes inflating the tire much easier. I have used this hose on a 12" wheelchair and it was much easier to fit the pump head to this valve without having to try and fit the pump head into a very small space in the spokes of the wheel. The valve doesn't stick out very much, maybe an inch, but that makes all the difference. It's also a very thick rubber hose, much heavier than the old hose I replaced. If you're replacing a similar hose and the valve is hard to access, consider spending an extra dollar or so to get this chamber. Another tip if you're new to inner tube replacement: After you've installed the inner tube and put the tire back on the rim, inflate the inner tube once or twice to give it just a little shape. Then hold the valve and push it into the tire a few times to make sure the tube doesn't get pinched under the tire rim. Finally, grab the tire and rock it back and forth while moving along the rim. This will help secure the hose. Pump it up slowly. If part of the tire bead starts to rise, deflate and start again as the tube is still pinched under the bead of the tire where it rose. Another tip - talc (baby powder) - sprinkle a little on the tube before installation. This will help the tube slide into the tire, making it easier to install the tube.
