This little bonsai tree was exactly what I had in mind when I wanted a bonsai tree. The one I have has lighter needles or leaves than the others listed, but to me it makes them lighter and looks more realistic. The base is beautiful and there is what appears to be moss around the tree trunk giving it a "grassy" appearance. The chest looks nice and is a bit more shiny than the real chest, but I think I can paint the chest with acrylic paints and give it a more realistic look. The only downside was the joints where the branches met the trunk, didn't fit well and looked fake in those places. I was able to keep pushing the branches until I got rid of most of the joints, but be careful, they don't look very strong and can break at these points. I made mine look pretty authentic. I'm very satisfied and I think if I paint the trunk to reduce the shine it will be perfect. I'm still giving it five stars because I've seen quite a few artificial bonsai trees and I think this one looks the most realistic. Also, it doesn't have an unpleasant odor like many artificial bonsai trees.
