The loop is very thick so you may need to squeeze it a bit to get it through the small loop on the collar. I found the pinch did the trick and I had no trouble threading. Because it's soft, it's also very comfortable for your pet, and as you can see, it looks cute with other decorations. I wouldn't dare put something that big on her if it was heavy or hard.
