Review on 🔥 Efficient Heat for All Spaces: Dr Infrared Heater DR-978 Infrared Space Heater, Hybrid, Black by William Auditore

Very very disappointing

I bought this heater to replace an old but still working $25 ceramic heater that still worked and thought it would heat much better with both infrared and PTC . no A much older (5 year old) ceramic heater peaked at 269 degrees Fahrenheit after 10 minutes of operation. DR. The infrared peaked at 256 degrees when set to maximum and the temperature on the thermostat was at maximum. In terms of fan heater performance, the much cheaper oscillating heater had a decent amount of heat felt up to about 2.5 feet at 166 degrees, but dropped off quite sharply thereafter until it reached room temperature at 5 feet. DR. The Infared with a quartz tube element maintained a temperature of 178 degrees at 2.5 feet and 130 degrees at 3 feet, dropping about 6 feet to room temperature. wasn't that high, especially for the cost compared to the $25 swing heater. When the device was placed in a 10-by-12-foot room with a timer set for 90 minutes and an ambient temperature of 64 degrees, the temperature rose 2 degrees in an hour and a half. I emailed asking if there is a difference between the larger wooden blocks and this one and they said the only difference between the blocks was purely cosmetic and not functional. Given that it has a dual heat source and a more powerful fan motor, I really expected this unit to be a lot more powerful than a standard cheap ceramic heater, but it isn't. The only major advantage is the fact that it has a remote control, but you can't use it to turn off the entire device. You can only press the mode button until it goes into standby mode. I would say this unit is a little better than a standard shelf heater, but not by much. Temperatures are expected to drop to 30F tonight and we currently have no working heating. So if there is an update I'll be happy to post it after trying this device out in the bitter cold.
