What I love about these curlers is that they have a titanium shaft so the heat doesn't burn my hair like the traditional curling irons I've used in the past . Also, due to the heat component and the way it's made, I only have to leave it on my hair for 5-7 seconds while I have to do it for 10-15 with my other curling irons. The stick itself is solid. It's a little shorter than I was hoping for, so won't work on very long hair as the heat can't penetrate through as much hair (unless you do small sections, which takes longer, but still less time than a regular perm ). .
