Best R/O filter yet

This was my first R/O filter. When we moved here I hooked it up to "city waterโ€. I had about 28 containers, 20 of which needed soft water. I used about 80 gallons of filtered water daily for water changes. Our water here is much harder than the water we had in Atlanta. I had to change the sump every 2-3 months, and everyone else twice a year. But then the energy supplier changed and we got a big increase in the water price, so I had to reconsider. I decided to connect it to well water. Our well water is even worse than our "city water". pH above 8.5, hardness exceeds what my test kit can measure. My African cichlids, guppies, snails and shrimp love this water. But South Americans and Chicken/Gourami are not that many. I decided to buy another filter rated for more gallons per day than this one since the amount of water filtered was much less with spring water. This new filter from Liquagen (more expensive) with a high customer rating costs 150 gallons per day. I've only had problems with it. It was constantly leaking and barely producing 80 gallons a day. I don't mean a small leak, but a big one. It was so bad my husband threatened to wash away all my fish, he was so concerned about structural damage. My fish room is in the garage. It is insulated and heated/air conditioned. We live on the beach, our living quarters are above the garage. So I decided to go back to this filter. It takes almost 2 days to produce 80 gallons. But since then I've shrunk a bit, I don't need that much water, that's enough for me. (All these problems with a different filter started to take away my enjoyment of the hobby and I had to travel a lot more. My pet/fish sitter is good but not as good as me, I also started losing a lot of fish) But Otherwise everything was smooth with this filter. I have to change the sediment filter every 10-14 days. And a DEIONIZATION RESIN filter every month. (I switched to reusable - cheaper)
