These forks are *technically* what is advertised but not really what you would expect based on the photo and description. It is said to be "stainless steel and artificial gemstone". What they don't tell you is that the small metal filigree surrounding the fake gem appears to be made from the same inferior plastic as the gem itself. The gem, on the other hand, looks more or less like a fake rhinestone sticker that you can buy from Claire. The chain connecting the loose part to the connector is so cheap it broke at *very* minimal pressure. The worst thing is that the actual fit in the ear makes it look like a cheap costume earring (and I don't mean "costume" as in "jewelry", I mean "Halloween costume" is quality) and no stud . Incidentally, it's offered in a "Half-Inch (12mm)" plug - those of us with pricked ears probably know that a half-inch is actually 12.7mm, meaning they're about a size smaller than they are advertised. It's basically a standard mid-range Spencer stainless steel tunnel that someone glued cheap craft supplies to. Unless you actually plan on using them for a Halloween costume I would not recommend this purchase.
