This very inexpensive transceiver has worked great so far. Yes, it does get a little warm (36Β°C/96Β°F), but that's common across many brands. It connects from the Xfinity modem to the UDM Pro's SPF+ WAN port via a 2.5Gbps Eth+ port. The router reports a connection speed of 2.5 Gbps. My current plan is up to 1200 megabits per second and I've gotten down to almost 1400. I have gradually upgraded my home network infrastructure to support 10G connections in anticipation of fiber service coming to our area later this year/early next year. and it was a great addition to the other updates. I also bought a second block.
