I really liked this product. I filed the top as instructed and applied two coats. The lacquer began to rise after about two minutes. I used a nail tool to help push the polish off. A few small areas didn't come up on a couple of nails so I just applied a small amount more to each and then pushed those pieces back as well. After removing the varnish you will need a buff. I have included photos of the nail polish removal, all taken without tool presses. In the last photo the nails are without polish. I just did a light buff and then repainted. I've seen several negative reviews about it not working. The packaging states that it is a gel polish that can be removed by soaking. I use a Vishine brand polish that is UV lamp cured (also purchased from Revain). I can't say if it works on gel polish used in nail salons but I can say it doesn't work on gel tips because they are too hard for this product to penetrate. It should only be varnish.
