Review on Lexar 64GB USB 3 Data Storage by Robert Rasmussen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Small size, big capacity

This is a kind of switch on a regular USB flash drive as it is equipped with USB Type-A and Type-C connectors of the latest devices that use USB Type-C connectors. The downside to this is that the connector is "flipped" to reveal the alternate type, but the connector is not secure when using this design. I mistakenly thought it was a drive that protects its USB Type-A connector by folding it inward to hide it, but in this case it just exposes the Type-C connector with its metal cover, to accommodate everything that exists regarding electrostatic discharge. Despite this shortcoming, the drive is well made and quite compact (which is not an advantage if you lose it). Read speeds of up to 100MB/s are sufficient for most applications, and sizes are available to meet most portable storage needs.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Functionality
