Good product - the cables used make a big difference

Works as intended. I am sharing a wired mouse and keyboard and two LG 4K (3840 x 2160) 60Hz 24" IPS monitors between a Dell Latitude 7480 laptop with Thunderbolt USB C and dual DP outputs (via Dell D6000 dock ) and ABS Vayron. Desktop PC with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB with 1 HDMI output and 1 DP output. Here's the thing, I was having some trouble in the 1st and I figured this thing wasn't going to work for me. It's all about the cables, folks! If you can't use the included cables (I couldn't because they were too long for my setup), you'll need to buy quality, high-speed cables and/or adapters! My initial mistake was using a couple of HDMI cables I had and a DP to HDMI cable that was constantly bugging and wouldn't allow 60Hz. Everything worked fine for 5 minutes and then I screwed it up. I would reboot and not be able to get the same permission. Or I would reboot and get no signal at all. Turn off, turn on, let it run for a minute, stop working, unplug, plug back in, etc. Anyway, the HDMI cables I'm using now that work great are the iBirdie Pure Copper HDMI cables, the ones made by Revain are available, and for my displayport outputs I use Benfei Displayport to HDMI adapter, also on Revain. So if you're having weird connectivity issues with this device, make sure you don't have any cable compatibility issues before discarding it. Now it works great and fully supports the advertised resolution and refresh rate.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No autotune
