The double link doesn't work for me.

My old computer had a dual link DVI port and I was using the full 2560 x 1600 resolution of my 30 inch HP LP3065 monitor. My new computer only has an HDMI output but can easily watch a full resolution 4K TV. I connect this adapter to the same HDMI cable and plug it into my monitor and I seem to get a single link as the resolution is downscaled to 1280x800. Useless to me as I already had a single link adapter.
