Not that waterproof.
While it might be fine for occasional physical protection, I wouldn't trust this device in a wet environment. The device has several obvious disadvantages. . The cable hole is approximately 7/16 inch (11mm) and is made of hard plastic (not rubber). So if you don't have a perfectly fitting cable, more water will get in.
