Waste of Money. Can only be used when cord width is standard size. If a little more then you can not close. If less then it is not waterproof. Fits Christmas lights and other small wired devices, but connecting a 12 AWG outdoor wire to a 16 AWG wire will not work. The housing can ONLY cover the connection even when fully extended, but the real downside is that I had to remove the inner gasket to push the 12 AWG into the cable holder (the head fits, but not the cable).

As described. They provide excellent coverage for connecting an extension cord outdoors. I never leave an extension cord uncovered in the yard. This offers good protection. Each end appears to provide a tight seal to keep out the rain. They were delivered quickly and the price for 3 of them is very reasonable. I only gave 4 stars because the "plastic hinge" feels a little flimsy and may not hold up to a lot of opening and closing. The time will show. But the purchase is worth it.
