I only used these to clean the grill surface after smoking ribs for about 4 hours and they worked very well. The cleaning cloths stay on the brush/scraper and clean my stitches very well. As long as you use them after every meal, your grills should stay as good as new. The best part is you don't risk the wire in your food or scratching the grates with old wire bristle scrapers. I am very happy with this decision so far. I will update when I use it. To update. I've been using these pads on my grill cooktop for about 20 cooks and my grates are still clean like new! I like that it is very convenient to take out the napkin and put it on the holder. Although it usually takes 2 wipes to get a new clean result. I have found they are also great for general grill cleaning outside and under the lid on the inside of the grill. Better than any grill cleaner spray I've tried.
