Maybe a previous review or something due to something else, but after 8 months! Auster called me with instructions to replace my blender. I'm glad I didn't put the blender aside for recycling. They asked me to send my blender back (free shipping label) and call the number 2 days after shipping. I sent it and after the call was told to call back in a few days. The second time they confirmed receipt of the blender and sent a new one a few days later. Overall, I'm glad they endorse their products. I wish it was faster but better than nothing.———— I bought it about 5 years ago and hardly used it. I haven't used it more than 40 times or so in that time. I recently started using the blender again to drink green smoothies and noticed that when using the device, a black oil with a burning smell comes out of the bottom of the jar. A small study showed that this is a common problem. I tried to contact customer service as the device is still under warranty. After completing several emails and forms, the photos sent could not replace the tin. To make matters worse, Auster doesn't appear to be selling the can either, as many people complain. I am disappointed as this is a relatively expensive device. I would not buy again and would go to another brand with parts available instead.
