When I first got my knee scooter, I could hardly ride around the house without my knees becoming uncomfortable due to the hard seat. This product is almost irreplaceable. While I could probably handle short scooter rides without it, longer use (e.g. shopping) probably wouldn't be possible. My seat is shaped and curved to give my knee a safe resting place that I can still feel and use on this pillow. However, as other reviewers have noted, it slips a bit no matter how hard I set the switches and even follow the placement instructions that came with it. However, a small compromise for comfort. Highly recommended.
