Review on Snapper HD 48V MAX Cordless Electric 450 CFM Leaf Blower Kit With 2.0 Battery And Rapid Charger by Peter Hallett

I have long used a gas powered blower. While I loved the convenience and power of my gas blower, I disliked having to have the separate container of mixed gas and the problems that came with using E10 gasoline that is the only gas I can get in my state (without purchasing the overpriced non-ethanol gas in little quart cans). I opted to give this battery powered blower a try.I popped the battery in the charger and noted the battery was completely charged within 30 minutes.I first started using this to blow freshly cut grass off my sidewalk. For this, it worked like a dream.Then I decided to spread fertilizer on the lawn. With my gas powered blower, I was able to blow the fertilizer particles off of my sidewalk and driveway without any issues at all. However, with this Snapper blower, it did not blow the heavier particles around very well. It took quite a bit of time to blow all the fertilizer particles off my driveway and sidewalks, much more time than it took me in the past to do so with my gas powered blower.This blower is fairly lightweight compared to my gas powered blower and does not seem to torque my arm/shoulder as much when I use this blower. While not as loud as my gas blower, it is still a bit loud. I would probably compare it to the noise level of a hair dryer.Overall, I really love the convenience of a battery powered leaf blower. No mixing gas, no pulling the cord 10 times to get it started, and no messing with the choke to get it to run correctly. However, the convenience seems to come at the cost of a slight bit of power. While I am not disappointed in the Snapper blower, I have to admit I miss the power of my gas powered blower a little bit.
