I'm completely rewriting my review on this thing. I use Raspberry Pi 3 to control the board. Here are some points to keep in mind when using this board: 1. I applied 5v and ground from my PI3 to the board's control pins as instructed. This activates the power display for the control pins and sets all control pins to just under 5V or HIGH. It wasn't clear at first, but after figuring it out I was able to adapt my program to work with it.2. I can activate motor 1 without any problems I can activate motor 2 without any problems I have a serious problem activating both at the same time. When I try this, the boards seem confused as to which one he's riding on. To test this problem I set a delay of 1000 ms between the first and second motors starting. Both turned on and worked for the allotted time of 5000 ms. Apparently the board needs a delay between turning on individual outputs. In addition, this delay should be greater, the greater the resistance of the motors. In other words, if I put the chassis on a stand, the delay should be around 500ms. If I put the chassis on the ground and the wheels touch the ground, the delay should be over 1000ms. I've come to the conclusion that if I do both tasks at the same time, there will be disruption or confusion on the board. I'll try connecting the controller to the Arduino Uno and see if that makes a difference. This board may not be designed to work with PI3. I will post my findings here so that future buyers can better understand this product as the instructions are not very helpful at all and the company's website is awful and doesn't even mention this product. Update: I was able to figure out the problem with this board. Using an Arduino, I wrote code that first turns on the motors at full speed. I had the same spasmodic result as with PI3. Then I switch to PWM and it works great. AFTER ALL. Apparently this board can only work with a slow increase in speed when running more than one motor at a time. In any case, the product does not deliver what it promises, which is why I give it 2 stars.
