I ordered these lights for Halloween decorations with the intention of using them again for Christmas. The buttons used to turn the lights on and change colors are very hard to press. Nevertheless, I charged them for 2 days in direct sunlight before installing them. From the start, one of the fixtures wouldn't stay on. It would illuminate for a the night but wouldn't turn on the following day. There must be a short in the mechanism because when handled, the fixture would blink on and off. If I shook it, it would turn on but then turn off during the night. The other five lights worked well for two weeks but then a second light stopped working. At this writing, only four lights are working. They remain bright and look really good illuminating my fence. I've had many solar-based lights over the years and have been extremely satisfied with them. Some have lasted 5 years or more. These lights, however, are very disappointing and I would not purchase them again.
