Review on D-Link DIR-615 Wireless-N Router, 4-Port: Discontinued Model with Reliable Performance by Kenneth Broszko

I have not had any problems with this router, except for the loss of connection that I encountered regularly during the day. About every 5 minutes or so there was a loss of connection to the router about 5 feet away, during which time I was disconnected from the internet and reconnected within about 5 seconds. The firmware has been updated and I have verified that it is not the modem or the service I am getting through a series of tests which have determined that the fault is with the D-Link router itself. I have since returned the router to Revain.com and bought a new Netgear router for the same price as this router; I had no problems with the Netgear router. The problem could very well be faulty hardware and could have been fixed by replacing the D-Link router, but I didn't want to do a D-Link replacement. In short, I would not recommend this router to anyone. The low price drew me in, but I ran into issues I've never had with any other router that tech support couldn't help me with. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this router, I've heard similar stories told by others afterwards and I wouldn't make this purchase again myself.
