On the outside of my case for the iPhone 8 S I put a round magnetic pad, on this case I also have a handle and the magnetic circle is placed above under the camera lens. I have bluetooth in my car so making and receiving calls is not a problem. I wanted this device so I could see if I got text messages and also for my Waze app when I'm on the go. I am very happy with this purchase. My husband drives a classic 1996 Mustang so he had to take calls in that car. I liked that it was cheap and came in 2 packs. The magnet holds the phone without slipping or rotating the phone. It gets chilly when the AC is on, but I don't think it will hurt the phone. (at least I hope not).
