The best thermometer I've ever had. Incredibly fast response time. The only improvement would be water resistance, so I can toss it into shallow liquid containers without fear of water touching the plastic on the probe contact destroying the part. Otherwise everything is fine!((Edit 06/18/2018)) The product was purchased on 11/05/2017 and the cable connecting the probe to the display was short-circuited. When opening the probe, the indicator lights when the probe is opened, but does not light up until the probe is open about 15 degrees. As soon as it opens, the display turns off again. I can't do anything with it other than temporarily running water since I can barely open it, so it's basically useless now. I suspect this is a plus for longer models that don't open with a moving part. List price is $70, purchased for $26.99 on a lightning deal. It's currently $33, but it's still not worth it to me if it only lasts half a year. I'm a baker and this matrix unexpectedly rattled me for the rest of the day and the problem is still not solved.
