I have severe OCD. However, I have no complaints about this boot. I read a lot about size, performance, comfort, protection, durability and so on before ordering them. I also reached out to various vendors to get their opinions. All of that feedback was helpful, but it doesn't mean much until you put the shoe on. My sneakers are 8 regulars and they fit my feet very well. I don't have arch problems (or any problems at all) with my feet, so I guess it's fair to say that my kickers are a pretty decent litmus test of averagely healthy feet. I ordered 8 in the boot and it fits just as well as my running shoes. Due to necessity and design, they are stiffer than a pair of comfortable running shoes. So don't expect them to feel like your favorite pair of Merrells running shoes. There is a break-in period, but it seemed rather short to me. I rode my bike to work and walked around the office in my boots all day and that helped. You can speed up the process by flexing the boots as you wear them. On the bike, the protective properties of the boot feel more than adequate. I'm quite a conservative driver, so I don't flinch when cornering. Airflow on the road is excellent. I live in Alabama. It's hot here, the humidity is 9 million percent and my feet felt very comfortable at any speed. Both socks are adequately padded to provide extra protection without impeding gear changes. No, these boots don't have all the bells and whistles of a $600 pair of Dainese boots, but I encourage anyone to find a better boot in this price range. All in all a great boot.
