This coffee maker makes good coffee with a cone shaped filter and shower head on top. A filter basket is much better than a paper filter which has an aftertaste. It's very easy to use, but can't see the screen due to the lack of a backlight. Also, the decanter spout is right above the bottom of the glass decanter, so drips are a problem. In addition, the heating plate gets too warm if you only brew a few cups of coffee. I remove the crap after I've poured the 1st cup and then put it back on the hot plate about 5-10 minutes before I need the 2nd cup. Otherwise I like the machine, coffee brews well.
