Tronsmart Element Mega 40W review Simply put I'm seriously impressed. The speaker not only rocks the house, the packaging is also well thought out and useful. I also found it to be a great device for streaming all your media audio. You can watch YouTube, movies and popcorn. Sounds really good: great tones and good bass. This Bluetooth compatible stereo speaker is a high fidelity device with excellent sound and good bass performance in the supported frequency range of 115-13000 kHz. THD is acceptable at <=1.0%. I could wish for a higher upper end (e.g. 16kHz) but that would be perfectly fine. Bluetooth pairing is quick and easy. The item pairs with your smartphone for audio and phone calls. You can use the speaker controls to answer a call or call the last number you dialed. Request: Call control is shared with play pause button. You can just call the last number without wanting to. I recommend Tronsmart to create a separate call button. Loudness test The output sound is loud enough to take a shower while listening to your favorite music (20 watts per channel). I placed this speaker in a safe spot in the bathroom (keep away from water) and enjoyed the music without even cranking the speaker to full volume. Versatility The Element Mega connects to other devices via a 3.5mm jack, allowing you to play your CDs through your portable CD player or other device. Also, the micro SD card slot allows for tune/media playback, but there is no way to navigate through the folders on the card so they just play in sequence with the Next Track button. Interestingly, the device also supports NFC, which I don't have. I didn't check the NFC function as I leave this function disabled on my phone. The box has a magnetic lid and a neoprene interior. The package includes a USB charging cable and an auxiliary cable, neatly folded in a box below in a separate place. You must remove all packaging to get a multilingual user manual. I don't understand why it isn't packed directly onto the column. Attention: The storage box gives the impression that the inner box is covered with a cover. I tried to shove it out of my sleeve before realizing its true construction. Luckily I didn't break the case :). I recommend Tronsmart to print the label "Flip Open Here" on the cover.
