Protractor works well. In fact, I was a bit surprised at how much I played with him. I "found a corner" in the garage of my workshop. You can use a slightly stronger magnet. Of course, some materials aren't as magnetically friendly as others. Everything worked fine with my saw blade and other highly magnetic materials. The output is clear and easy to read. Reset / Calibration is easy to use. I would buy again. The main reason I would buy it again is that this tool saves me having to ask questions about the angle gauge on my saw. 40 degrees is actually 40 degrees. 30 degrees is actually 30 degrees. Quality, fit and finish are worth it.
